Definition

This indicator determines how the adjustment delay is taken into account in conjunction with the date on which the adjustment takes effect (Adjustment date) and the date on which the index level is read for this adjustment (index date).

In both instances a date to be used as the initial value is calculated from the date of the last adjustment and the adjustment frequency.

  • Indicator is not set [ ]:
    • Index date = Initial date
    • Adjustment date = Initial date + adjustment delay
  • Indicator is set [X]:
    • Index date = Initial date - adjustment delay
    • Adjustment date = Initial date

In both instances the adjustment date lies before the date on which the index points for this adjustment are read, since the index levels are generally announced afterward.

Example

Date of the last adjustment = 01/01/2000
Adjustment frequency = 6 months
-> Initial date = 07/01/2000

Indicator not set set
