Definition
The percentage share of hot water consumption HW% is calculated in three different ways (B,W,F).
B = Calculation of fuel consumption
HW% = B / W
Where W = Tot.Cons. / Hu and B = (2.5 * V * (tw - 10)) / HV
W = Calculation of heating amount
HW% = Q / Tot.Cons.
Where Q = 2.0 * V * (TW - 10)
F = Fixed flat rate for hot water consumption
Experience has shown that 18% is an appropriate figure to use as the flat rate amount for hot water consumption.
List of abbreviations:
C = Measured volume of consumed hot water in m3
TW = Measured or estimated average hot water temperature
HV = Heating value of consumed fuel in KwH/l or other unit
B = Fuel consumption in unit of measurement used for HV
Tot.Cons. = Total consumed heating amount as input value
W = Total heating amount to be determined
Q = Heating amount of the hot water consumption
