Definition

The maximum volume capacity for collective delivery processing through this shipping point.

Use

The system selects due deliveries, the combined volume of which does not exceed the maximum volume you enter. The system selects the deliveries according to internal delivery priority. The priority is based on shipping factors, such as:

• Shipping point
• Delivery date
• Delivery priority
• Route

Example

The following sales orders are due for delivery:

Sales order    Volume

#1    100 gallons

#2    250 gallons

#3    330 gallons

If you enter a maximum volume of 450 gallons, the system selects only the first two deliveries in the list (even though the total volume of the first and third deliveries is closer to 450 gallons).
