Definition
Plant used in sales price calculation to determine certain pricing-relevant parameters when calculating distribution chains or price lists.
Use
Certain parameters relevant to sales pricing are maintained with reference to a plant. These parameters include the supply source key of the material to be priced, or the purchasing organization to be used for supply source determination. This information is not available at distribution chain or price list level. You therefore need to use a reference plant when calculating distribution chains or price lists, to enable you to establish the necessary parameters.
Sales Pricing Display
The reference plant for distribution chain or price list calculation is displayed in the item detail screen in the 'Organization' group box. You can also change the reference plant by choosing 'Edit' -> 'Reference Plant'.
