Procedure
Select this field if this grouping should be proposed as a default in the export control class column when you create a material master for a material with a particular export control class.
Use
Several groupings can be defined for one material or export control class. It makes sense to specify the most commonly used grouping as the default. You can overtype this value in the material master.
Example
Two PCs which have the same export control class and are technically identical apart from the processing speed can be assigned different groupings if they are subject to different export regulations.
You export considerably more 30 MHz PCs so you define B1 as the default grouping. When you create a material master for a 60 MHz PC, you simply need to overtype the default grouping with B2.
