Definition
The consumption unit is the quantity unit of a cost element with which the consumption quantities are posted.
The consumption unit, used to record the quantities in databases, can be defined separately for each cost center. The unit defined in the cost element master serves as a default value. You can overwrite it if you wish during the first planning stage.
You can make subsequent plan and actual postings in different consumption units, provided these are convertible to the consumption unit defined in the cost element master.
