Specifies that forecasts run for this forecast profile are based on consumption data from the material master rather than on actual data from the information structure.

Procedure

You can make this setting for level-by-level planning.

In consistent planning and delta planning, forecasts are always based on actual data from the information structure (version 000).

In Standard SOP (information structure S076), the forecast is always based on consumption data from the material master.

Dependencies

If you set this indicator, you can also base the forecast for this material on the consumption quantities of a reference material. You might do this if a material is new and does not yet have any historical data. You define the reference material in the material master record.
