Use of the key figure for analysis purposes
This key figure gives an overview of the defects and inconsistencies, which would not occur under normal circumstances, but have been caused by procedures in SAP programs or in-house software.
Notes for optimization
Large volumes of defective or inconsistent data can lead to increased runtimes for important operating functions, for example, frequently used evaluations or transactions. In extreme cases, complex follow-up errors can occur during processing, without these occuring in the foreground and being noticed.
Due to its effect on business processes and installations, such data should be regularly removed or the cause of such errors should be avoided.
Optimization approaches such as determining and deleting defect data and getting rid of the cause of the problem, require precise and comprehensive business and technical evaluations.
