Definition
For each business transaction in Asset Accounting, you can define a primary rule and and alternative rule. These rules determine how the the system determines the asset value date for the given business transaction.
A variant for determining the asset value date consists of a complete set of such rules for all transactions. You can assign one variant for determining asset value date to each asset company code. If you do not make any assignment of this kind, the system will automatically use the "SAP_DEFAULT" variant.
