Definition

Elements in planning folders divide themselves into two areas:

  1. Manual planning (layouts), documents, graphics
  2. Functions (planning functions and planning sequences), special functions (global planning sequences and save)

Use

A layout can be output as a table (standard) and as a graphic. In one-piece folders it is possible to set every layout as ready for input (standard) or or only for output. Excel or ALV can be set up for output. Only portfolio graphics are available as graphics in one-piece folders. Layouts are already ready for input in one-piece folders and are always used for display in the output area. A layout can also be displayed as a graphic in the output area. ALV is always used for layouts.

Documents are either edited within a layout or methods of the type document (0-DOC) can be defined in the input or output area. Such a method must be defined in the planning framework for this.

An additional pushbutton is displayed with the special function "Save" in the planning folder. It cannot be included in (global) planning sequences as it is not a real function.

Times can be assigned to all functions. Functions that are executed on certain events are not displayed as a a pushbutton when executing the folder.

  1. "Execute function before starting folder". This time can be assigned to a function in the area of global functions. It is executed before the planning folder is started. In particular before variable values can be entered. If an error occurs on execution then the execution of the folder is terminated.
  2. "Execute function before saving". This time can also be assigned a function in the "global functions" area. It is always executed before changed plan data should be saved. If an error occurs then the data is not saved.
  3. "Execute function before layout display". At most one function of this event can be assigned for every layout in the input area. It is always called up before the plan data of the layout is selected again (this means if the layout is selected, after a planning function was executed, and after changing variable values).
  4. "Execute function before changing the layout" At most one function of this event can be assigned for every layout in the input area. It is always called up before plan data of the layout is used for other operations (this means before another layout is selected, before a function is executed, or before variables are changed, or before plan data is saved).

It can be that several automatic functions can be executed one after the other.
