Definition
Determines whether the rebate income is apportioned (distributed) among the plants involved by share of business volume or evenly.
Use
During subsequent settlement accounting with regard to a condition record of a rebate arrangement, the settled income can be apportioned among the plants involved as follows:
- by share in business volume (reflected in the plants' share of the condition basis), or
- evenly (that is to say, each plant is allocated an equal share of the volume rebate income)
Please note:
- The indicator is only effective for rebate arrangements in respect of which settlement accounting is carried out at plant level. The settlement type is defined in Customizing for the arrangement type.
- Apportionment of rebate income at a different level within the framework of the updated cumulative figures in the Logistics Information System (LIS) is always carried out by share of business volume according to the condition basis.
Example
Assume business volumes of $100, $200, and $400 have been recorded for plants 0001, 0002, and 0003 respectively. Income is 2%, calculated on the condition basis of altogether $700. This corresponds to an income of $14.
In the case of distribution by share in business volume, this results in incomes of $2 for plant 0001, $4 for plant 0002, and $8 for plant 0003.
In the case of even distribution of business volume, plants 0001 and 0002 each receive $4.67, and plant 0003 receives $4.66.
