Specifies the number of business objects in the packages to be created.
Use
Dependencies
The Archiving Engine creates equally-sized data packages to achieve optimum server usage: The following applies:
- The smaller the package size you select, the higher the network load.
- The maximum permitted package size is limited by the main memory of the server on which the Archiving Engine runs (master server).
- The number of resulting archiving or deletion runs is restricted by the number of simultaneously active processes (tasks) on the clients.
- This results in archiving or deletion runs that have approximately the same number of business objects.
- Dialog processes run in the background on the servers. These dialog processes receive a restricted time interval (timeout, system setting). Choose the package size in such a way that the processing time for these packages does not exceed this time interval.
