Definition
If this flag is selected, the view query eliminates duplicate records.
In general, duplicate records appear if the view does not include all the fields that are necessary to distinguish different records.
Some typical reasons are:
- The join conditions for at least one view segment are incomplete. This can imply that too many dependent records are joined.
- A data segment contains "denormalized" data, i.e. some field values are repeated for several records. For example, the material master segment contains both plant independent and dependent attributes. Hence, the plant independent attributes (e.g. material description) are repeated for different plants.
