Documentation
Definition
The maximum base value specifies the maximum amount allowed for the base value for depreciation in a depreciation area. If the acquisition value of an asset is below this maximum amount, the acquisition value is used as the base value for depreciation. If the acquisition value exceeds this maximum amount, depreciation is based on the maximum amount specified.
You specify the maximum amount for the depreciation area and the asset class in a company code. The maximum base value does not apply for all assets in an asset class. It only applies to those assets with a given depreciation key. The base value indicator '05 = limited base value' has to be entered in the internal calculation key in the depreciation key.
