Definition
If this option is selected, the extraction and data file merge tools temporarily store index data in table TXW_INDEX. The table is automatically cleared after all the data has been extracted. When selecting this option, make sure that the associated database tablespace is large enough to hold one data segment index at a time.
If this option is not selected, the extraction and data file merge tools store and sort index data in memory. For large data segments, this may require a very large amount of temporary sort space on the application server file system. If such a large space is not available, the extraction and merge tools terminate with an error.
