Definition
Part of the forecast model used in forecasting. It represents the historical level of the forecast model.
Procedure
For the trend and seasonal trend models the system calculates and updates the increase in value using this trend value.
The trend value is first calculated by the system using the historical values, but you can also enter it yourself. At the end of every period, the system updates the trend value using the beta factor.
