Definition
Alternative, language-independent technical name that is specified for each template in addition to the actual technical ID (key). Only the alias text appears in the display (e.g.input help) and not the technical ID.
Use
The alias can be changed subsequently and is not a part of the key for tables.
Foreign key relationships to the alias fields are used to form relationships between objects (e.g. time related to location).
