Category that specifies how the identification of the message sender is to be interpreted.
Different parties send messages, for example railroad companies or forwarding agents. The identification of the actual sending railroad company is only unique within the group of railroad companies. The category specifies the group within which the identification is unique. The category, together with this identification, delivers a unique message sender ID.
