Definition

A tariff zone is a combination of a postal code area for a country from the point of view of shipment cost calculation.

Use

Within shipment cost calculation, different shipment conditions can be determined depending upon the tariff zones used.

Tariff zones are determined automatically when a shipment cost item is created.

Tariff zone determination depends on

• transportation planning point
• service agent
• shipping type
• country key
  

In tariff zone determination, you can mask the shipping type by not entering the shipping type when configuring determination. The system will search up to two times for a tariff zone.

1st attempt: with the available shipping type

2nd attempt: without the shipping type

Procedure

You can define the tariff zones and automatic determination in the configuration menu for shipment costs.
