General Process

  1. In the Conversion table for characteristics/fields view, in the field Characteristic/Field name (Product safety properties tree), enter the key for the characteristic or the field, that is to be converted into a field in the target table.
  2. Define the Target table and Field name fields.
  3. Mark the data record and navigate to the Value conversion for characteristics/fields view.
  4. Define the appropriate target values that the target table field is to contain for the source values of the respective characteristic or field.

Example

Enter the following values for a phrase-related characteristic:

  • In the Conversion table for characteristics/fields view
    • Enter the characteristic key SAP_EHS_1022_023_STOSU in the Characteristic/Field name field.
    • Enter the table name DGTMD in the Target table field.
    • Enter the field name STOSU in the Field name field.
  • In the Value conversion for characteristics/fields view
    • In the Characteristic/Field value field, enter the phrase keys that belong to the phrase set that are allocated to the characteristic SAP_EHS_1022_023_STOSU, EHS-A08-03, for example.
    • In the Field value field, enter the target value, for example, 3.
