Definition

Indicates the shelf life expiration date.

Use

If the shelf life expiration date check is active, you must enter a date here:

• Enter the production date if a total shelf life has been defined in the material master record.
  The system calculates the shelf life expiration date from the production date plus the total shelf life.
• Enter the shelf life expiration date if no total shelf life has been defined in the material master record.

The shelf life expiration date minus the posting date gives the remaining shelf life of the material or batch.

If the shelf life expiration date check is active, the system checks that the remaining shelf life is not shorter than the minimum remaining shelf life defined in the material master record.
