Use
Search Term for the ABAP Keyword Documentation
You can enter a single word or several words. The search is independent of uppercase and lowercase. In the documentation texts, you can perform either an index search or a full-text search. "*" and "+" are placeholders for several or single characters respectively. As before, the source texts of the ABAP examples can be searhed for a character string, in which case no placeholders can be specified.
Index Search
ABAP language elements and terms from the ABAP environment can be specified for the index search. The index search evaluates the entries of the following indexes and provides a hit list.
The search area cann be limited ghrough @K7@.
If no entries were found for the specified entry, a similarity check is executed.
Note
If you enter a component of a structured data type from the ABAP Dictionary, the documentation of the corresponding data element is displayed.
Full-Text Search
The full-text search scans all texts of the ABAP keyword documentation. If you specify terms consisting of several words, you have to specify in an additional window if the system should search for the individual words or the entire term. The resuts are listed in a document that displays the highlighted locations of the terms searched for.
Search in ABAP Examples
This search scans the source texts of the executable example programs for the character string entered. After selection of an example program, there is a list displayed with the found locations in the ABAP keyword documentation and from here the exection can be triggered.
