Definition
Use
For each table or table view there is a short description giving information on its meaning.
Procedure
When searching for tables or table views by the short description, the following entries are possible:
char
With the exception of the characters which follow, all characters represent themselves and there is no differentiation between upper and lower case. Blanks are generally ignored.
*
stands for a character group
+
stands for precisely one character
<>
Negation (the character sequence should not occur in the short description)
$
Test for empty short description (when <>$ is entered, all tables or tables views which have a short description containing at least one character (not a blank) are chosen.
&
logical AND (intersection), and then the next character string
,
logical OR (union), and then the next character string
Here the link from above to below is increasingly weaker, i.e. & is analyzed before , but after *.
