Documentation
If this indicator is set, the system creates the swap as a discount swap. A discount swap differs from a standard swap in the way the interest amounts are calculated.
Standard-Swap
- Formula for calculating the interest amount:
Interest amount = Base amount * Days/Base days * Interest rate/100
- Interest payment at the end of the interest period
Discount Swap
- Formula for calculating the interest amount:
Interest amount = (Base amount * Days/Base days * Interest rate/100) / (1 + Days/Base Days * Interest rate/100)
- Interest payment at the start of the interest period
The discount rate for the discount swap is the same as the rate used for calculating the interest.
