Definition
The effective interest rate is an interest factor that reflects the return on investment of an interest-bearing financial transaction while taking account of revenue/expense-determining factors.
If the effective interest rate is defined, then the purchase/sales price is to be determined in such a way that the effective interest rate obtained is the same as the defined effective interest rate (subject to rounding differences).
