Definition
Correspondence types are entered by the user according to freely definable criteria in Customizing.
Description
Correspondence control is carried out in Customizing via 'Define Correspondence Activities'. You define here, for example, that correspondence of correspondence type XYZ should be carried out for product type 51A (fixed-term deposit) and transaction type 100 (investment) with activity category 20 (contract settlement). Based on these settings (+ standing instructions correspondence for external correspondence types), a correspondence planned record for the relevant correspondence type is created. The subsequent processing (output, status determination, etc.) is based on this planned record.
