Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication

The SWIFT CODE is the unique worldwide bank ID.

Use

The SWIFT code is used to identify banks in international payment transactions.

Outgoing confirmations:
This field is filled with a SWIFT code from the view of the sender. For outgoing correspondence that is always the SWIFT code defined for the company code (see company code additional data in Customizing).

Incoming confirmations:
This field is used for incoming confirmations to identify the sender (= business partner). Using BAdIs, the customer can make more detailed selections here.
