Definition

The program only evaluates this entry if you have not maintained the "Date of last interest run" field in the master record. If the default value is deleted, the current date is used.

The program uses this date for determining whether items are to be processed as having value dates in the past. Value dates in the past result from items posted after the last interest run but which are to be assigned by value date to a period already calculated. For more information, see the program documentation.

During the very first interest run, you do not have to set this date. The program then includes all postings occurring in the calculation period. If you select the "Update master record" field for this run and the following runs, then the program sets the corresponding field in the master record during the batch input session, and automatically includes the field during the next run. Otherwise, from the second run onwards, you must specify the date of the last interest run in order to include possible value dates in the past.

If you calculate interest with a non-SAP program and include postings up to a certain day, then you must enter the date of the last interest run in the first run or maintain the master record correspondingly.

If you maintain the master record field using batch input, take the following into consideration:
If the program was carried out between midnight and 6:00 a.m. (specified as a constant in the program), the date of the previous day is maintained as the "Date of the last interest run" in the master record.
