Definition
is used for specifying the limits within which interest is calculated. In the master record of the relevant account, the field "Key date of the last interest calculation" can be maintained or not.
- 1) the key date of the last interest calculation is not maintained
- In this case, the parameters 'settlement period ...until...' determine the upper or lower period limit. (Thus, the lower period limit- 1 is assumed as a key date of the last interest calculation.) If you want, for certain accounts, one of the key dates of the last interest calculation to be different from that of the period lower limit, you must maintain the key date of the last interest calculation manually in the master record before the run. In this case, the interest cycle must theoretically also be maintained (see below).
- 2) the key date of the last interest calculation is maintained
- If you want to have the system calculate the next interest calculation deadline, the key date of the last interest calculation (in the master record) and the interest cycle (in months) must be maintained before the first interest calculation run; the latter should be carried out either individually in the master record or globally per interest calculation indicator in the general interest terms (for which, the following applies: an entry in the master record has a higher priority than an entry in the general interest terms).
