Definition

When an event occurs, the event manager starts the event receivers registered for the event. If there is an error in one of the receivers, the receiver can report back to the event manager.

If this notification specifies that the error is temporary, the event manager tries to start the receiver again automatically. The event queue is used to make this call. The event queue therefore has to be active for this mechanism to be used.

Since the receiver can repeatedly experience the same error, you can specify here how often redelivery should be repeated. If the defined number is reached and the receiver returns another error, it is treated as a permanent error and there is no further automatic redelivery.
