Expression referring to an an element of the workflow container for determining a reference date/time. This date is used for calculating the requested start.

The expression is only evaluated if you chose expression as reference date/time.

Use the F4 input help when entering the expression. Note the color legend.

Caution: The color legend only gives information about whether the element or expression can be used after formal checking. You must ensure that the allocation is correct yourself.
