Use

The field is only ready for entry if modelled deadline monitoring is selected. This label is attached to the outcome and the relevant branch in the workflow definition. The subsequent steps must then be specified.

If you want to specify deadline data but do not want to explicitly model any follow-up treatment, select Display text as reaction. A work item with predefined notification text is then generated for the message recipient for missed deadline and put in their Business Workplace.
