Definition
The figure that specifies the number of parallel branches created within the workflow definition.
In each of the parallel branches, you can define as many steps as you wish. The steps access the workflow container. The exchange of information between steps from different branches is not recommended, since the execution sequence is not specified.
All parallel branches rejoin in a "join operator".
The number of parallel branches does not indicate how many of these branches actually have to be worked through in order to start the step that follows the join operator.
