Definition
Specification of diagnosis class. The following diagnosis classes are managed in the IS-H System:
- Admission diagnoses
- Discharge diagnoses/treatment certificate diagnoses
- Surgery diagnoses
- Department main diagnoses
- Hospital main diagnoses
The discharge diagnosis for the inpatient case as well as the treatment certificate diagnosis for the outpatient case is the diagnosis communicated externally on closing the treatment. This diagnosis type is checked when billing and communicated externally via the invoice or treatment certificate.
