Definition
Each set variable may have a default set. You can only use basic sets or single-dimension sets as the default set. The table field of the default set must correspond with that of the set variables, that is, the representative data elements of the fields must match.
In some applications you can replace this default set immediately before you use the variables by specifying another set that uses the same table field. If you do not do so, the system uses the default set.
If the set variable does not have a default set, a set is used internally as a default set that conatins all values for the set variable table field.
