Definition
Here you can maintain the certificate subgroup for the certificate type.
The certificate subgroup controls the BDT treatment record type (for instance treatment by a physician, referral, emergency case and so on).
On the basis of the certificate type assigned to a current case, the system selects the respective BDT record type using the certificate subgroup (see example). The record structure of each BDT record type is slightly different to another and is defined by the PPA central institute.

Procedure
If PPA billing is to be carried out in a subsystem using a BDT interface, it is indispensable that the certificate subgroup has been stored so that the system can determine the BDT record type.
If you do not want to generate an interface, you need not make an entry in this field.
Examples
Certificate subgroup: '00' ---> BDT record type 0101 (treatment certificate)
Certificate subgroup: '20'-'28' ---> BDT record type 0102 (referral certificate)
Certificate subgroup: '41'-'46' ---> BDT record typ 0104 (emergency certificate).
Dependencies
Specifying the certificate subgroup is only an indispensable requirement if PPA billing is to be carried out via the BDT interface. Moreover, you have to maintain certificate subgroups only for those certificate types whose certificate category has the internal certificate category 2,3,4, or 5. In other words, for insurance verification you need not specify certificate subgroups.
