Definition

Uniquely identifies a specific section in a delivery route.

Use

Routes can consist of one or more legs. For each leg in a route, you define the following information:

• Beginning point
• End point
• Itinerary sequence (where in the itinerary the leg occurs)
• Shipping type (for example, whether the leg requires delivery by truck)

Example

If, for example, you define a route from Boston to New Orleans, you could define the first leg as beginning in Boston and ending in Baltimore and requiring a truck.
