Definition
The events in the itinerary represent the itinerary from the viewpoint of Travel Expenses. You can only enter and edit further destinations here. Edit all other events in the general trip data.
Events in the itinerary:
- Trip start: Relevant for all types of trips. The trip start is the time at which the traveler leaves home or the workplace.
- Domestic departure: Only relevant for international trips. It indicates the time at which the traveler leaves the home country. In Germany, for example, the domestic departure is the time at which the airplane lands in the foreign country. For an automobile trip, the domestic departure is the time at which the car moves across the border into the foreign country.
- Landing at destination: This is currently used only in the Travel Expenses country version for Sweden. The landing at destination is only relevant for international trips by air, because in Sweden the flight time is calculated with a separate reimbursement rate.
- Trip destination: For trips with more than one destination, the trip destination is the first destination. All other destinations are further destinations. If the entry of the domestic departure or the landing at destination is not required, that means the traveler is already at the trip destination at the start of the trip. This is only for accounting purposes - the traveler is not physically at the trip destination at this point in time.
- Further destination (arrival): If a trip has more than one destination, all other destinations are entered here. Further destinations can be added to or deleted from the itinerary. Furthermore, you can specify a cost assignment for each new destination.
- Beginning of return flight: This is currently used only in the Travel Expenses country version for Sweden. The beginning of the return flight is only relevant for international trips by air. The beginning of the return flight is when the airplane starts from the destination, or from the last further destination, to return home.
- Domestic return: The domestic return is only relevant for international trips. The domestic return is the time at which the airplane lands in the home country. For a trip in a car, the domestic return is the time at which the traveler drives across the border into the home country.
- Trip end: Relevant for all types of trips. The trip end is the time at which the traveler arrives home or at the workplace.
