Definition

The program for the tax return sets this data automatically if the parameter Update Tax Items is set. It prevents duplicate returns of individual items in organizationally difficult cases (example: The tax return must be by document date, but you cannot ensure that no further documents with a document date in this period are entered after the tax return).

However, the update of the individual tax items increases the runtime of the return program considerably. Therefore, the option Update Tax Items should only be used where really justified.

In all countries that use the posting date as criteria for the tax return, no update is required since once the posting month is closed, the period can be locked for further postings.
