Use

When a contract is billed, rate determination is carried out for all the rate types of the corresponding installation. The rates found are executed, and the lines items of the billing document are generated.

A statistical rate type is allocated to all the billing line items. This is the rate type that was used to find the corresponding rate. You can use the statistical rate type for statistical analyses of the billing documents.

Note

Analysis of the billing line items according to the statistical rate type is only permissible if different rate types always produce different rates. If this is not the case, multiple statistical rate types exist for the billing line item, and the system only selects one of them.

Example

  • An installation contains a meter with the rate type HT and a meter with the rate type NT. The rate T is allocated to both rate types.
  • The installation is billed. The consumption of the HT meter is 1000 kWh, and the consumption of the NT meter is 500 kWh.
  • When rate T is executed, the billing generates one billing line item relevant to posting with a consumption value of 1500 kWh. Depending on the sequence of the logical register numbers, the billing line item contains either the statistical rate type HT or the statistical rate type NT.

In this case, the statistical analysis that determines the consumption billed per rate type is incorrect.

If you wish to analyze billing line items according to the statistical rate type, you must ensure that in your company, different rate types always produce different rates. Otherwise, you should use the statistical rate.

The billing line items that are written in period-end billing are another exception. The period-end billing rate is allocated directly to the billing schema and is not found using the rate type. When billing line items are generated by the period-end billing rate, the fields for the rate type and the fact group therefore remain blank.

Info lines that are created in demand preprocessing obtain the statistical rate type of the respective register on which the meter reading is based, if this is unique. For example an IDPEAK line, that is, an info line about a demand peak, which is taken from the meter reading of an individual register possesses a unique rate type. On the other hand, the mean value of two demands from different registers is not allocated a unique key.
