Definition
Controls how sender values are calculated.
Use
The following entries are allowed:
- Posted quantities
The quantities posted to the sender are taken as the sender values.
- Fixed quantities
On the Sender Values tab, enter fixed quantities for the senders you defined in the selection criteria. The senders are directly credited with these quantities. The values are distributed to the receivers based on the rules you entered for the receiver tracing factors.
- Quantities determined indirectly from receiver tracing factors
The sender values are calculated indirectly from the receiver tracing factors. You can valuate these sender values with a weighting factor. You define the weighting factors on the Sender Values tab.
If you do not enter any weighting factors, the SAP System defaults to 1 (no decimal place).
If you have defined Fixed quantities as the receiver rule, the system always uses 1 (no decimal place) as the weighting factor, regardless of the entry you have made.
Example:
You have defined the following rules for the receiver tracing factors:
Rule: Variable portions
Receiver tracing factor: Statistical key figure,
Statistical key figure: Number of employees
The Cafeteria cost center supplies cooked meals to three cost centers. 500 units (cooked meals) are planned.
The following tracing factors are defined on the receivers:
Receiver Tracing factor
B 100 emp
C 50 emp
D 50 emp
Total 200 emp
The SAP System credits the sender (cafeteria) with 200 units (lunches). The unit of measure is determined by the sender. You can enter weighting factors for each activity type on the sender. The sender value calculated indirectly is multiplied with this weighting factor.
