Definition

Server group to be used for parallel processing.

Use

This transaction or program supports parallel processing in which various tasks are performed at the same time (parallel), not sequentially.

This generally considerably improves performance, but increases system load because of the larger number of tasks to be performed at the same time.

In parallel processing several dialog Work processes on one or more application servers are used for the processing, regardless of whether they are called from a Dialog program or a Background job.

The server group specifies which application servers can be used to what extent for parallel processing.

If no server group is specified, parallel processing cannot be used.
