Definition

The document splitting method defines how document splitting is performed.

Use

For each document splitting method, you specify how the individual item categories are handled in the individual business transactions. This includes, for example, whether the account assignment of the customer item is copied from the revenue item in a customer invoice.

By assigning a document splitting method to a ledger, you activate document splitting for this ledger according to the settings made in this method.
