Documentation
Definition
Latest generation date, i.e. the date by which follow-on documents to the allocation table (vendor purchase orders, warehouse orders or deliveries) have to be generated for the delivery date to be met.
Use
- This depends on whether the scheduling function is used.
- You can also generate follow-on documents immediately, that is, even if the latest generation date has not yet been reached.
- During follow-on document generation, the system enters the current date as the actual purchase order date.
Dependencies
- If you activated scheduling in Customizing for the allocation table item categories, the system automatically determines the latest generation date by subtracting the planned delivery time and the GR processing time from the delivery date (material master, Logistics: DC/Store view).
- If you did not activate scheduling, you must enter the latest generation date in the allocation table header. The field can be used for selecting worklist entries in the background during follow-on document generation. The system generates follow-on documents for worklist entries for which the latest generation date match the criteria on the selection screen.
