Definition

Key figure for describing the (net) sales price.

The margin relates those pricing components of the sales price that do not come from the (net/net) purchase price (handling costs, additional markups, profit) to the (net) sales price. If the (net) sales price does not contain any proportions of the cost, the (net) margin shows the proportion of profit in the (net) sales price.

Use

The (net) margin is calculated by the system in the sales price calculation function of Pricing using the sales price (net) determined in the sales price determination function and the purchase price (net/net) determined in the purchase price calculation function in the following formula:

(Net)sales price - (Net/net) purchase price

(Net) margin = ------------------------------------------------ * 100

(Net) sales price

Display in the sales price calculation function

The (net) margin is displayed in the "SPANE" list field of the pricing table.
