Definition
Key figure that describes the (gross) sales price.
The margin expresses those pricing components (handling costs, additional markups, profit, taxes) of the (gross) sales price that do not come from the (net/net) purchase price as a percentage of the (gross) sales price.
If the (gross) sales price does not contain any portions of costs, the (gross) margin shows the share of the (gross) sales price that is composed of profit and taxes.
Use
The (gross) margin is calculated in the sales price calculation function in Pricing using the (gross) sales price determined in the sales price calculation function and the (net/net) purchase price determined in the purchase price determination function in the following formula:
(Gross) sales price - (net/net) purchase price
(Gross) margin = ----------------------------------------------- * 100
(Gross) sales price
Display in the sales price calculation function
The (gross) margin is displayed in the "SPABR" list field in the pricing table.
