Definition

Defines the procedure the system uses to sequence the planned orders in the planning period.

Use

You can choose various procedures:

Manual procedure

• FIFO procedure (first-in/first-out)
• External procedure using PP POI interface
• User-defined procedure (user exit)
• Production smoothing (Heijunka)

Dependencies

You define and process the procedure profile in Customizing for Sequencing. If you added sort buffers in the line hierarchy, you can specify various processes for the buffered sections before and after the sort buffer. Then the order sequence in the sort buffer is redetermined in Sequencing. The specifications in the line hierarchy override the specifications in Customizing for Sequencing.
