Documentation
Use
With the exception of address names, you can specify a type for every entry.
Dependencies
If you do not specify a recipient type, the system searches the address list in the order in which the recipient types are listed in the input help. As a result, either the recipient type is automatically entered or you receive a hit list from which you can select the required recipient.
Note:
If suitable recipients are found in the search in a recipient type area, the system does not search in the following recipient type areas. Therefore, if the system finds suitable recipients using the specified search criteria in a recipient type area, you must specify a recipient type that lies in front of the required recipient type area.
Example:
You specify the private distribution list Karin as the recipient, but do not specify a recipient type. Since internal users with the name Karin exist, these are displayed in the hit list and the system does not continue the search. You do not receive the distribution list until you have specified private distribution list as the recipient type.
Supplementary Documentation - SO_ESCAPE 0000
Use
The indicator specifies the type of recipient entered. The 'name' of a recipient can have various meanings. For example, it can be the name of a user or a distribution list.
The following types currently exist:
No entry SAPoffice user
A Address
P Private distribution list
C Shared distribution list
B SAP user
O OCS name of a user
Note:
The options are listed here, as the function F4 (Possible entries) is not active for display fields. Please note that this list is subject to changes.
Procedure
If the documentation does not refer to a pure input field, you can use F4 (Possible entries) in the function key area to display a short description of the values which are currently valid.
Examples
A recipient is, for example, specified as:
User Rec. type
MEIER
DLIST1 P
SALES C
Dependencies
Values for the valid entries are currently defined in the domain SO_ESCAPE.
