Documentation
Definition
The indicator controls whether serial numbers can be maintained in the decentralized Warehouse Management System.
Use
Set this indicator if you want to maintain serial numbers in the decentralized WMS. In this case, you should ensure that at organization level, the serial numbers are unique across the system boundaries. In the SAP system there is no cross-system check of serial numbers entered.
Make sure that the settings for this indicator are the same in both the central and decentralized systems.
Dependencies
If the materials you use in the decentralized system are subject to serial numbers, you should set this indicator so that you can adjust serial numbers when changes are made to the delivery quantity.
If you do not set this indicator, you cannot make delivery quantity changes to materials requiring a serial number in the decentralized system.
