Definition
Indicates the type of a goods movement, which depends on the issuing valuated stock in transit. In the system, each goods movement is assigned to a movement type.
Use
Dependencies
You define the exact transfer of title for goods movements that contain issuing valuated stock in transit with the Specification for Issuing Valuated Stock in Transit/CST (cross-company-code stock in transit) field.
Example
For the stock transfer and purchasing process, you can set up the following goods movements and transfers of title in Customizing activity Define Schedule Line Categories, depending on valuated stock in transit:
- Stock transfers with valuated cross-company-code stock in transit (CST)
Default schedule line categories N2 and N3:
The default follow-on movement type of 681 (Stock Transfer to Issuing Valuated Cross-Company-Code Stock in Transit (CST)) in the Movement Type for Issuing Valuated Stock in Transit field is movement type 685 (Stock transfer from issuing valuated CST)).You use the Specification for Issuing Valuated Stock in Transit field to determine the exact transfer of title:
- Transfer of title on goods receipt (schedule line category N2)
- Transfer of title during transit (schedule line category N3)
Note:
For default schedule line category N1, only movement type 683 (Stock transfer to receiving valuated CST) defines that transfer of title is on goods issue. - Stock transfers with valuated intra-company-code stock in transit (IST)
Default schedule line categories N5 and N6:
The default follow-on movement type of 68A (Stock Transfer to Issuing Valuated Intra-Company-Code Stock in Transit (IST)) is defined as follows: - Movement type 681 (Stock Transfer from Issuing IST to Receiving Plant) for transfer of title on goods receipt (schedule line category N5)
- Movement type 68E (Stock Transfer from Issuing IST to Receiving Valuated IST) for transfer of title during transit (schedule line category N6)
For intra-company-code stock transfers, no entry is necessary in theSpecification for Issuing Valuated Stock in Transit field.
Note:
For default schedule line category N4, only movement type 68C (Stock transfer to receiving valuated IST) defines that transfer of title is on goods issue. - Delivery to customers with valuated stock in transit
Default schedule line category NU:
The default follow-on movement type of 687 (Delivery of Goods to Issuing Valuated Stock in Transit) is defined as movement type 601 (Goods Issue for Delivery.With the Specification for Issuing Valuated Stock in Transit/CST (cross-company-code stock in transit) field, you specify sales-order-based goods issue, and thereby the end of the delivery with transfer of title at customer location.
